Vanderbilt University School of Nursing is a graduate nursing school in Nashville, Tennessee, serving nurses and students entering the profession. Our programs include the Master of Nursing for students with a bachelor's degree in another field, the Master of Science in Nursing, Post-Master's Certificates, the Doctor of Nursing Practice with a nurse anesthesia program, the PhD in Nursing Science, and a postdoctoral fellowship. Students complete one of 13 clinical or two non-clinical specialties as nurse practitioners, nurse-midwives, nurse informaticists, or nurse educators.

I have serious concerns about the leadership within the School of Nursing, particularly under Dean Desire Diaz. In my experience, the current administration is negatively impacting the quality of the program, and I worry about how well students are being prepared for the nursing profession. Based on what I’ve observed, I would be hesitant to recommend this program or consider graduates from this university.
They never answer the phone & cannot even get any questions answered. All they want is for people to apply blindly. On their website it says that the required Internships are not guaranteed and the degree you are paying for may not be awarded. So you spend your money and waste your time waiting for an internship that may never open up. Wow! This is a has-been school and should be shut down. Disaster of an institution.
Wish I could post 2 reviews, one for the speciality programs and one for vanderbilt/nursing program in general. Speciality... great. Nursing... horrific. Unqualified instructors, nepotism, blatant favoritism. Unless you're a white debutante from a wealthy southern family, its not worth the money.
